Education Centre

At Daniel’s Ride CIC, we believe that every person deserves access to quality learning opportunities, regardless of their background or circumstances. Within our Education Centre, we aim to make learning enjoyable and accessible for all in a supportive, inclusive environment, removing barriers to education to ensure that individuals of all abilities can thrive.

Education is about more than just academic achievement. That’s why we emphasise holistic development, combining training with therapeutic visits and enrichment activities. We’re thrilled to offer a diverse range of qualifications and certificated courses accredited by ASDAN and AQA, tailored to meet the unique needs of each learner through one-on-one training or small group sessions.

The Education Centre’s facilities include:

aSDAN Certified Courses

ASDAN is an education charity and awarding organisation dedicated to engaging and elevating young people aged 11 to 25 years who are in greatest need, empowering them to take control of their own lives and future. We’re pleased to be able to offer ASDAN qualifications and certificated courses, providing learners with the opportunity to showcase their achievements to prospective employers and educational institutions.

We understand that everyone learns differently, so we use a variety of practical, audio, and visual teaching methods to make sure our courses suit all learning styles.

We currently offer the following accredited certificated courses:

  • Land-Based Sector
  • Construction
  • Gardening
  • Foodwise
  • Animal Care

AQA Unit Award Certification Scheme

incorporating Green Care & Enrichment

AQA provides a wide range of subject unit awards, allowing learners to earn certifications that boost confidence, engagement, and motivation. Our goal is to help learners build a portfolio of achievements that demonstrate their capabilities to prospective employers and educational institutions, focusing on capability rather than disability. We aim to create inclusive pathways to learning outside the classroom, catering to students who may find traditional classroom environments challenging.

English and maths are integrated into many of our units in practical ways. For example, our Living Skills unit covers tasks like shopping and budgeting, helping students learn essential skills while having fun. We’re all about making learning engaging and accessible for everyone, whether you prefer hands-on activities or visual learning.

Here are some of the exciting unit awards we offer:

  • Construction, carpentry, plumbing and building skills
  • Pet care and livestock husbandry
  • Gardening and plant identification
  • Food preparation and hygiene
  • Independent living skills
  • Social skills
  • Employability skills
  • Admin skills
  • Fitness, health, and exercise
